Breakfast at your hotel. Meet with your English-speaking guide at your hotel and start a full day sightseeing tour by private coach of Kyoto including a plum garden in Kitano-Tenmangu. We will visit Kinkakuji-Temple (UNESCO), Japan’s most renowned temple covered in gold leaf and Ryoanji Temple (UNESCO), famous for its zen rock garden. An interesting feature of the garden’s design is that from any vantage point at least one of the 15 rocks is always hidden from the viewer. Lunch at a local restaurant.
We visit Kitano-Tenmangu whose plum garden has 1,500 plum trees of about 50 varieties. (Flower season: Jan – Mar) Then we visit Kiyomizudera-Temple (UNESCO), `pure water temple’ was founded on the site of the Otowa Waterfall. It is best known for its wooden stage that juts out from its main hall. (Kiyomizudera-temple main hall is covered up for the renovation of its roof. Visitors will be able to enter the main hall during the renovations) We also visit Jyonangu-shrine which has 5 beautiful gardens. Dinner is not included.

Full day excursion to Hiroshima with lunch by private coach with English-speaking guide. Start from Kyoto and depart to Hiroshima by Shinkansen (“bullet train”). Day 5 KYOTO – FUSHIMI – UJI – NARA – TOBA
TOBA

Breakfast at your hotel. Meet with your English-speaking guide and transfer to Fushimi Inari by private coach. You can enjoy strolling under approximately 10,000 red Torii gates which stretch to the top of the mountain. Visit Byodoin Temple, famous for being engraved on the back on the ten-yen coin. The temple dates from the eleventh century and was founded as a villa for the Fujiwara clan regents of the imperial throne. This temple is also famous for its Japanese wisteria (early-May) Experience of Uji tea tasting.
Transfer to Nara and visit Todaiji Temple, whose main hall is the Daibutsuden (the Big Buddha hall) and is the world’s largest wooden building, in spite of the fact that the present reconstruction of 1692 is only two thirds of the original size. Lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to Kasugataisya-shrine, which features over 3,000 stone and bronze lanterns. We will visit the Manyo-garden in Kasugataisya-shrine which has 300 types of flower though-out the year. Then stop by Nara Park, a 1,250 acre reserve, home to more than 1,000 free-roaming deer. Dinner at your hotel – typical Japanese style. After dinner, enjoy a Japanese hot spring in the big public bath in the hotel. In Japan, for hundreds of year Japanese people have enjoyed hot springs mainly for their health benefits and socializing.

Breakfast at your hotel. Depart to Ise, Mie prefecture with your English-speaking tour guide by private coach. We visit Ise-jingu, the most sacred shrine in Japan, which enshrines Shinto’s most venerated deity, the Sun Goddess. In the G7 Summit, top leaders visited with Japanese Prime Minister Abe.
Visit Okage Yokocho in your free time. There are food stores, souvenir shops and a museum enabling visitors to enjoy tasting traditional food products in Mie and shopping for local specialties.
Take a ferry from Toba to Irako. Lunch box with Japanese tea in the ferry. Transfer to Kawazu by private coach. Visit Kawazu Sakura. You will see 8,000 cherry trees there. Dinner at your hotel.

We will take a lake cruise and a ride on a ropeway in Hakone which boasts great views of the surrounding Hakone National Park. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit Sensoji Temple, the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo dedicated to Asakusa Kannon, and a short walk through the Nakamise, full of typical stalls and little shops.
