Fuji’s 5th Station at an elevation of 2,300 meters, a cruise on pristine Lake Ashi, and a ride on a ropeway in Hakone which boasts great views of the surrounding Hakone National Park. Arrive at Aomori in the morning, and enjoy a full day of free time. Aomori Prefecture is the northernmost prefectural capital city on Honshu, Japan’s main island. Aomori is best known for its spectacular Nebuta Matsuri summer festival and Hirosaki Park is one of Japan’s best cherry blossom spots with its abundance of over 2,500 trees. The ferry departs for Busan in the evening.

Full day Hirosaki Castle Tour with an English-speaking guide by private coach. The castle was built in 1611 and features a three-story castle tower, fortified moats, castle gates and some corner turrets (Yagura). The castle is located in Hirosaki Park, a spacious pubic park of about 0.6 square kilometres, which is particularly charming during cherry blossom season, featuring cherry blossom tunnels, petal filled moats, numerous pleasant picnic areas, rental rowing boats, and many varieties of cherry trees and illuminations in the evenings. From casual tent bars and chic designer cafes to fish markets teeming with every species imaginable, Busan has something for all tastes. The ferry will depart for Fukuoka in the evening.

Arrive at Fukuoka in the morning, and enjoy a full day of free time. Fukuoka is the largest city in Kyushu and is still growing. It traces its trading history back some 2000 years, which continues today with visitors from Seoul and Shanghai. The city is famed for its local baseball team and hearty Hakata ramen.
The ferry departs for Kobe in the evening. All meals are included while on board.

The festival was first referred to as ‘Dontaku’ in the Meiji period (late 19th century) when the once-prohibited ‘matsubayashi’ was revived. Let’s dance together!

Breakfast at your hotel. Meet with your English-speaking tour guide by private coach for a full day Kyoto tour. Discover the ancient capital of Japan. We will visit Kinkakuji-Temple (known as “the Golden Pavilion”), built as a villa for the Shogun, and covered entirely with gold leaf, it stands in the middle of a magnificent garden. Kiyomizudera-Temple (UNESCO), literally ‘pure water temple’ was founded on the site of the Otowa Waterfall. It is best known for its wooden stage that juts out from its main hall. (Kiyomizudera-temple main hall is covered up for the renovation of its roof. Visitors will be able to enter the main hall during the renovations) Ginkakuji-temple which has a beautiful moss garden and a unique dry sand garden. Lunch and Dinner are not included.

Day 13 KYOTO – HIROSHIMA – KYOTO

Breakfast at your hotel. Meet with an English-speaking tour guide at your hotel and transfer from Kyoto to Hiroshima by Shinkansen (“bullet train”). Hiroshima tour by private coach. Visit the Genbaku Dome (the striking cupola which located at the epicentre of the atomic bomb attack and miraculously survived the blast), and the Peace Memorial park. Lunch is not included. Travel by ferry to the island of Miyajima and visit the Sanctuary Itsukushima Shrine whose colourful buildings float on the water of the Inner Sea.
