Proceed to the snow monkey hot spring on foot through a beautiful forest and enjoy miraculous views of monkeys in the hot spring pond. Some of Japan’s most photogenic residents spend their days soaking in the natural hot springs of the snowy Japanese Alps. These are Japanese white macaques, more popularly called snow monkeys.
Return to Nagano to see Zenkoji temple, which enshrines images of the Amida Buddha. The main image was created in India and introduced into Japan in 552AD.

Depart to Ogisawa station with your English-speaking guide by private coach. Visit the Kurobe Dam located at Kurobe lake by Tunnel Trolleybus – Kurobe Daira by cable car – Daikanbo by ropeway. Take the Tunnel Trolleybus to visit Murodo, famous for the snow corridor walk “Yuki-no-Ohtani” (great snow valley). You can walk 500m between the walls of snow (available for a limited period only: around mid-April to mid-June).

Depart to Shirakawago by private coach. This region was declared a world heritage site in 1995. It is famous for its traditional gassho-zukuri farmhouses. The roofs, built without nails, provided a large attic space used for cultivating silkworms.
Depart to Takayama by private coach. Due to its previously inaccessible location, nestled high in the mountainous Hida alpine region, this beautifully preserved old town was isolated from the rest of Japan, allowing it to develop its own unique culture.

You will walk on the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage road (a world heritage site) that has been used by pilgrims for over 1,000 years.

Meet with your English-speaking guide and transfer to Ise by private coach. Visit Futamiura, where you will see a curious rock formation in the sea, close to shore, called the Meoto-iwa. The two rocks are imagined to be a man and woman. Then proceed to Ise. Free time at Okage Yokocho, with food & souvenir shops and a museum where visitors can taste Mie’s traditional delicacies or shop for local specialties. Then explore Ise Jingu shrine also visited by the G7 Summit world leaders with Japanese Prime Minister Abe in 2016.

Meet with your English-speaking guide and embark on a full day excursion with private coach of the beautiful city of Kyoto, the cultural capital of Japan. We will visit the: Kinkakuji temple, the “Golden Pavilion”: built as a villa for the Shogun and completely covered with gold leaf, it stands in the middle of a magnificent garden; then Nijo castle, former residence of the Tokugawa Shogun. After the visit, we will enjoy a traditional tea ceremony.

In the afternoon, we will visit Kiyomizu temple, built entirely of wood, which offers a magnificent panoramic view of the city and the Gion geisha district. (Kiyomizudera temple’s main hall is covered up for the renovation of its roof. Visitors will be able to enter the main hall during the renovations). Return to the hotel to relax.
