Meet with your English-speaking guide at the hotel and embark on a full day tour of Japan’s capital by private coach. We visit: Observatory of the Metropolitan Government of Tokyo Shinjuku which offers a beautiful view of the whole city; Meiji Jingu shrine located within the stunning city park; then onto the districts of Omotesando and Harajuku.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon: photo stop at the Imperial Palace, drive to, and visit Sensoji temple (the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo dedicated to Asakusa Kannon). Short walk through the Nakamise, full of typical stalls and little shops and continue to Ginza, the most stylish fashion district.

Start with an English-speaking sightseeing tour in the Mount Fuji Hakone National park by private coach. Ascent by ropeway for a spectacular view of the valley, mini cruise on lake Ashi, where the famous and revered Mount Fuji is reflected in all its glory.
Lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Tokyo.

Take a ferry to the island of Miyajima and visit the Sanctuary Itsukushima shrine where the colourful buildings “float” on the water of the Inner Sea. At the end of visits check in at the hotel in Hiroshima.

Day 6 HIROSHIMA – HIMEJI – KYOTO

Start with an English-speaking sightseeing tour: the Genbaku Dome (the cupola which famously remained standing after the atomic bomb), the park and the Peace Memorial Museum by private coach. Departure by Shinkansen train with your Englishspeaking guide, for Himeji.

Visit the beautiful UNESCO world heritage Himeji castle, acclaimed as Japan’s most beautiful and complete historic citadel, known as the White Egret. The tour will continue to the adjacent Kokoen park, formerly the daimyo’s residence – a stunning park which features: a pond with a waterfall, a tea garden, a garden of pine trees, a bamboo garden and a flower garden. Visit a sake brewery then transfer to Kyoto by coach.

Day 7 KYOTO
KYOTO

Breakfast at your hotel.
Meet with your English-speaking guide and embark on a full day excursion with private coach of the beautiful city of Kyoto, the cultural capital of Japan. We will visit: Kinkakuji temple, the “Golden Pavilion” – built as a villa for the Shogun and completely covered with gold leaf, it stands in the middle of a magnificent garden; and Nijo castle, former residence of the Tokugawa Shogun. After the visit, we will enjoy a traditional tea ceremony.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we will visit Kiyomizu temple, built entirely of wood, which offers a magnificent panoramic view of the city and the Gion geisha district. (Kiyomizudera-temple’s main hall is covered up for the renovation of its roof. Visitors will be able to enter the main hall during the renovations.) Return to the hotel to relax.

Meet with your English-speaking guide and transfer by private coach to Nara, one of the first capitals of Japan. We visit: Todaiji temple, famous for the great bronze statue of Buddha; the Kasuga shrine with 3,000 lanterns, and Nara park, where thousands of deer circulate freely.

Afternoon visit to Fushimi Inari, a famous Shinto shrine, reached after a pleasant walk through innumerable red Torii gates and used as a setting in the film ‘Memoirs of a Geisha’.
